There are three models of the Cricut machine, beloved personal die cutters made by the Provo Craft company. With three good options, it can be difficult to decree which one to buy. Should you start small and buy the former Personal Electronic Cutter? Or is the Expression model worth the extra investment? How does the Create, the hybrid model currently being exclusively sold by Michael's Craft Store, stand up against the other two machines?

You can only yield cutouts based upon the cartridges you own. Each cartridge comes with a keyboard overlay, which is used in selecting exact cuts. The cartridges are not machine-specific - they can be used in any of the three models.

Basic carrying out of all three machines is the same.
If you own the Personal Electronic Cutter, you will have no qoute operating the Cricut Expression or create (and vice-versa). Why? Well, the basic carrying out of all three die cutters is the same.

Here's a quick rundown of the process. After plugging in the premium cartridge and corresponding keyboard overlay and turning on the machine, you are ready to start manufacture die cuts. Materials, such as paper or cardstock, are placed on a special cutting mat, which is then loaded into the motor with the press of a button. With other press of the button, the premium compose is chosen. All that's left is to opt "Cut". The motor does the rest of the work.

All three Cricut motor models use the same accessories.
It was already mentioned that the cartridges are not machine-specific, but this is also the case with most of the other accessories. It does not matter which model you own - the transfer blades, inks, different tools, such as the Cricut spatula, and compose Studio software, can be used with any model. The one exception is the cutting mats. The machines accept different sizes of the mats, and you must get one that is compatible with your exact machine.

Now that you know how the Cricut machines are similar, you are probably wondering how they are different. They vary in some ways:

The size of die cuts produced by each motor are different.
The Personal Electronic Cutter has the capability of manufacture cutouts fluctuating from 1 inch to 5-1/2 inches in size, in half inch increments. The create can yield die cuts fluctuating from 1/4 inch to 11-1/2 inches in size, in quarter inch increments. The Expression gives users the most versatility, producing cutouts from 1/4 inch to 23-1/2 inches in size, in quarter inch increments.

They weight and size of the machines vary.
The Personal Electronic Cutter and create are both small, transported machines. These models are good for crafters who like to take their projects on the road, and create scrapbook layouts and other projects in group settings. They are also qualified for those who do not have a exact area in their home set aside for crafting, because these die cutters are easy to pack up and put away in between uses. The Expression, on the other hand, is much heavier and larger. If you have a crafting room or corner, and do not have the concerns of tantalizing it frequently, it's a good choice.

The three Cricut motor models have different modes and functions.
There are some different modes and functions. For example, the fit to page mode will automatically adjust the size of the die cut based upon the size of the material loaded in the machine. The town point function allows you to align the cutting blade over the town of the material, so that the cut is made colse to it. The Expression motor has the most versatility as far as the availability of modes and functions. Next in line is the Create, and third place goes to the Personal Electronic Cutter. The price is different for each model.
The Personal Electronic Cutter is the most cheap Cricut cutter, with a recommend retail price of 9.99. The create is 0.00 more, at 9.99, and the Expression is 9.99. Please note that all three machines can be purchased at important savings. Many retailers run special sales or have a lower daily price than the recommend retail price. It's a good idea to shop colse to when buying your first Cricut machine.

How Are Agates Formed.

Earth). The alkali in the solution can assault any iron in the rock, producing bands of iron hydroxide in spectacular forms and combinations with other minerals gift in the saturated solution. Agates have also been found in Dinosaur bones, so high temperatures or pressures are not required for their formation, just patience. These agates often maintain

the host customary shape, after the host (tree, or root etc.) has eroded away, hence their name of Limb Cast Agates

Some common Agate Types:-

Onyx is a form of agate where the bands are white, alternating with other bands of in general black, but also of brown or red, depending on the mineral combination of the surrounding area.

Moss Agate is a Dendritic Agate, finding like it has vegetative inclusions (similar to Amber) but in reality, the Dendrites (from the Greek Dendron - Tree) are usually minerals like oxides of Manganese or Iron, which have percolated into cracks in the agate and then deposited out.

The transparency of the agate allows these dendrites to be seen within the agate.

Turritella Agate are formed from the Turritell shells, a fossilised maritime gastropod with an elongated spiral shell or many whorls.

Petoskey Agate is an agatized coral found in the Ottawa region of Canada, chiefly colse to the town of Petoskey, in river beds.

Agates are truly one of the most gorgeous minerals, to be found in a spectacular, range of colours, shades & patterns. When sliced and polished, they are the "Crown Jewels" in any mineral collectors display!

For the past twenty-five years, the United States shipbuilding industry has experienced a slow decay in both hiring and retaining critical skilled professionals. One of the most critical skills required to fabricate a ship is welding, as welders play a major role in shipbuilding, from pre-fabrication to delivery. Many factors can be identified with the cause of this reduction in the welder workforce. These factors include technology enhancement, outsourcing, growth of optional career opportunities, and family pressure. The latter factor is identified as playing a role in reducing initial accessions within the Department of Defense. Military recruiters have been required to alter their tried and true recruitment strategies. Parents, who do not wish to see their children subjected to the violence of war or to serve within, what they perceive, as a low return on investment career, are pushing their children away from military service in favor of continued education or careers in the private sector. This phenomenon is not unlike the pressures that potential welders receive from their own families. Shipbuilding is a demanding profession, requiring a level of mental and physical toughness not necessarily found in most manufacturing industries. Under the best conditions, commercial welding is challenging; it requires manual dexterity and mental visualization skills, as well as years of experience. Given the existing conditions in most shipyards, marine welding is even more challenging. These skilled craftsmen work in hot, tight, poorly-lit spaces, often working around corners with no clear line of sight to their work. Yet, the expectations of first-time, “perfect” quality is a hard requirement. For years, shipyards around the country relied upon third- and fourth-generation welders to replace their ranks caused by attrition. But due to the factors presented, these companies must employ new strategies to combat losses in its workforce. One such strategy is to better define requirements traceable to period and cumulative scope of work, and to formulate a more responsive organizational structure to meet this need so that the right number and the right skill sets can be targeted for recruiting and retention goals. This thesis identifies attributes within military organizations that could aid in the development of a similar organizational model for use in shipbuilding.
